I opened my Etsy shop not even a year ago, and am now running it full-time from home and I enjoy every day of it! Being home with my sweet 2 year old daughter full-time and work from home has been such a delight and so rewarding! It was always a dream for me to have a business creating handmade items and I never would have imagined it to have come to place like this! Nothing is more exciting to me than a new idea of what to create next! I have always loved to make my own cards, and ALWAYS prefer to send out "old fashioned" letters in the mail than email. It is so much more exciting to get something as a surprise in the mailbox, especially a hand written letter! So I hope to bring the same joy to others who may receive something handmade from the heart.
I started the dandelions the summer of 2011 on a whim with a framed 3 piece set I made for my living room instead of buying expensive artwork from a store. To my surprise, my husband came home and encouraged me to put something of the like on Etsy because he knew for a long time I had the desire to do that, but just not knowing what to make. 
This year I have begun to make fabric flower accessories (brooches, earrings, hair clips, bobbie pins) which I really like to do. They are so different from anything i've ever made. I have really enjoyed learning new skills because when I get in a creative rut it refreshes my inspiration to work with different mediums and change things up.

I like my sweets. I really enjoy eating healthy, but a week rarely goes by that doesn't include some sort of sweet treat (usually chocolate or ice cream!).
I always feel better, both physically and mentally, when I feed my body healthful foods. But, since I do have a sweet tooth, it is important to find treats that aren't full of junk and unpronounceable ingredients so that I can have my cake and eat it too!!

Headed by the late Paul Newman's daughter, Nell, Newman's Own Organics is a company, founded in 2001, strives to offer healthful and tasty snacks and treats that are certified organic.

-The Review-

I was sent a large box full of Newman's Own Organics products to try and review. This was by far the best review I've done so far, as you can imagine!

My camera "conveniently" broke around the time that I got my box, so the picture above shows a sampling of the items I received. My family and I had already sampled some of the  oreos, chocolate bars and dried fruit by the time this picture was taken. =)

Here are some of my (and my family's) favorites from Newman's Own Organics:

The chocolate bars were excellent. Definitely some of the best chocolate I have ever eaten! It was so smooth and creamy and I loved the different flavors they came in.

A word of warning, though - while it may taste amazing, don't eat the espresso chocolate before bed, because you might not sleep! I found this out first hand. It didn't stop me from eating it, though. I just make sure it isn't around bedtime! LOL.

Who doesn't love Oreos?? Our family absolutely loves oreos! It is a favorite ice cream topping around our house. Newman O's are delicious and taste just as good as their not-so-healthy counterparts. Our favorite flavor among the three flavors I received were the chocolate creme filled cookies. Mm-Mm!

Hmm- do you see a reoccurring theme here? We love our chocolate! The Peppermint Cups were my favorite- soo tasty! The perfect little treat for after dinner.

Other items that received great review from my family and friends were the Family Recipe cookies, Fig Newmans and Organic licorice. I made the mistake of taking a few packages of licorice to a recent gathering of friends since the flavor didn't sound all that appealing to me ( Mango). Later on I heard others raving about how good it was and then I wished I had tried it! Thankfully I have a few more packages still around to try before sharing! ;)

Product Review // Boulder Canyon Chips

Boulder Canyon Foods recently contacted me about reviewing their new line of kettle cooked chips. I had never heard of the brand before, after learning more about their products I was very excited to try them out.

Boulder Canyon Foods sent me three of their new Kettle Cooked variety of chips to try- Honey Bar-B-Que, Sour Cream and Chives, and Totally Natural:

Our family really enjoyed these chips. I have to honestly say that all of the flavors were a favorite! Many flavored chips taste a bit artificial, but not these chips. The flavor was fresh and tasty, though not overpowering.

Aside from the great taste, I appreciate the fact that these chips were gluten free, had zero trans fats, zero cholesterol and all natural ingredients. For example, the Totally Natural chips only contained potatoes, sunflower and/or safflower oil and salt.

Along with my chips I received some info on the company and their new line. Here's some info about the chips:

" Most ridged potato chips are made in traditional, continuous-cook fryers. The new Canyon Cut line from Boulder Canyon is cooked in small batch kettles to provide a heartier crunch, making it the perfect chip for dipping. This post is for all of your makeup lovers! I don't remember when I got interested in natural beauty products, but I can tell you that I never want to go back to the other stuff after finding such awesome natural products! My favorite kind of natural makeup to use is eye shadow- I never knew it could come in so many colors while still being natural!!

Desert of Roses is one of those shops that offers an amazing variety of eye shadow and other natural cosmetics, all for an affordable price, which is great because I don't think you will be able to pick just one color!

I have a hard time buying shirts. Either I have to get a Juniors size which is usually super skinny and long (which doesn't work on my petite size) or a women's size which tends to be boxy. Striped Shirt offers adorable shirts that FIT! I absolutely loved the fit of my Red and White Striped shirt. It is fitted yet not too tight. It looks cute with both jeans and skirts and the contrast striped neckline adds a fun touch.

After receiving my red shirt for this review I ended up buying a navy and white striped shirt as well because they fit me so well. They are so soft and very comfortable to wear.

The only thing caution I would give before ordering is to order a size up than you would normally wear. Usually I wear a women's extra small, but the striped shirt was too tight for me in the extra small. The small fits perfectly and I think the medium would have also worked for me. Other than that very small caution I would highly recommend these shirts.

They are great quality and the customer service is wonderful as well.
